Product: This golden olive oil "Dimitra" of Prinos -- Thassos
produced at a temperature to max. 27 C. The features the " extra Virgin " olive
oil is for his low acidity, the high percentage in vegetable proteins and in
vitamins A and E. Through tradition the Olive producers learnt to use
the best methods at the working of the valuable fruit of the olive. The
extraction of this valuable golden olive oil is protected.
Therapeutically effect
Application: This golden olive oil "Dimitra" has to be stored in dark place. The
Optimal Temperature is 10 -- 16 C.
The olive oil is used as dressing for salads as well as to bread and Feta with
Oregan. At the cooked foods shall it used at the end of the cooking process.

In
Thassos still the people caltivates the olive trees on the island in same way as in the
past. The Olive "Throumba" or "Thassitiki" exists on
Thassos is protected type (IGP -- Protected Geographic Indication) and is suitable particularly for the
production of olives and olive oil. The Phoenicians have brought the cultivation
of the olive trees on the island of Thassos before 4000 years ago. Since
then the Olive trees have a
special meaning at the culture and in the local economy.
The
Thassians have done the olives and the olive oil famous in the whole
Mediterranean in the antiquity. The taste of the olives oil has a mildly
Character and a golden-yellow color.
The Olive
harvest starts in November and ends to the Christmas time.
